Maddy started recreational gymnastics classes in 2010 at the age of six. As a Christmas present, her aunt purchased a voucher for a beginner gymnastics class. After Maddy's introductory class at the recreational gym, she moved to the team as a level 4 gymnast at Champion Gymnastics in Louisville, KY. She was the 2013 Level 6 KY State All-Around Bronze Medalist, 2014 Level 7 KY State Uneven Bars Champion & All-Around Silver Medalist (38.325), 2015 Level 8 KY State Vault Champion & All-Around Silver Medalist and 2015 Level 8 Regional Balance Beam Silver Medalist. Following her 2016 season, Maddy moved to Perfection Gymnastics School in West Chester, OH.
As a level 9 gymnast in 2018, Maddy placed first on vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.150 at the State Championships. At the Region 5 Championships, she finished first in the all-around with a 37.850 and first on uneven bars with a 9.575. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Rochester, NY, finishing fifth in the all-around and second on vault and uneven bars. Maddy moved up to level 10 for the 2019 season. She finished third on vault and fourth in the all-around at the State Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing third in the all-around with a 37.400, second on balance beam and third on floor exercise at the Region 5 Championships. At the JO Nationals in Indianapolis, IN, she finished eighth on vault with a 9.675.
Maddy qualified to the 2020 Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.
When Maddy isn't busy in the gym, she enjoys watching movies, playing games, singing and spending time with her friends and family. She is an honor student at William Mason High School and will graduate in 2021.
