Madysen started gymnastics when she was five years old. She tried many different sports but none of them interested her. Madysen decided to try gymnastics because there was a training center right down the road and she instantly fell
in love with the sport. She began her competitive gymnastics career at KAATS Gymnastics in Pine Island, Mn and has been there ever since.
As a level 6 gymnast in 2017, Madysen placed fifth on floor exercise and sixth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships, finishing second on floor exercise and third on balance beam. Madysen moved up to level 7 for the 2018 season. She placed ninth on balance beam at the Region 4 Championships. Madysen competed level 8 for the next two seasons. In 2019, she placed fourth on vault at the State Championships and seventh on floor exercise at the Region 4 Championships. Madysen was having a solid level 8 season in 2020 but her season was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Madysen moved up to level 9 for the 2021 season. She finished second in the all-around and second on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she placed fourth in the all-around, second on uneven bars and third on floor exercise. Madysen qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Iowa where she finished sixth on uneven bars out of 26 gymnasts. In 2022, Madysen placed second on uneven bars and fourth on vault at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished second in the all-around and first on uneven bars. Madysen qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Utah where she placed sixth on uneven bars.
When Madysen isn't busy training 16 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys fishing, outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends. She helps coaching young children in the gym and has spent many hours helping at her church. Madysen is an honor student at Pine Island High School and she will graduate in 2023.
