McCaleigh Marr was born on August 12, 2000 in Germantown, TN to Chris and Kathleen Marr. She has two sisters, Madeleine and Campbell and a brother, Max. Campbell Marr is also a gymnast at First State Gymnastics. McCaleigh is an honor student at Baldwin School and she will graduate from high school in 2019. When McCaleigh has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys photography, baking and swimming.

McCaleigh had so much energy as a child, her mom enrolled her in a gymnastics class. She fell in love with the sport and joined pre-team at Mannettes Gymnastics in West Conshohocken, PA. Following her level 8 season in 2014, she moved to First State Gymnastics in Newark, DE.

In 2015, McCaleigh finished second in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships where she placed in the top ten in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise. McCaleigh moved up to level 9 for the 2016 season. She finished first in the all-around, second on balance beam and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, she placed eighth in the all-around and third on uneven bars. She was the first alternate for the Level 9 Eastern Nationals. In 2017, McCaleigh placed second on vault and third on balance beam at the Level 9 State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 7 Championships where she finished first in the all-around with a 37.750 and first on vault, uneven bars and balance beam. McCaleigh qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI, finishing eighth in the all-around, third on vault and balance beam and sixth on uneven bars.

McCaleigh trains 20 hours per week at First State Gymnastics in Newark, DE under coaches Slava Glazounov and Cleo Washington. McCaleigh is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals and to place in the top ten. Her long-term goal is to compete for a college gymnastics team.
