Nadia started gymnastics at the age of two and has loved it ever since. Gymnastics is a big part of Nadia's family - her sister is a gymnast and her mom was also a gymnast and coach. She spent her first four years in gymnastics enjoying recreational classes and ended her first competitive season with much success. Nadia was the 2014 Level 3 NorCal State Vault, Balance Beam, Floor Exercise and All-Around Champion and 2015 Level 4 NorCal State Balance Beam Bronze Medalist. Nadia tested out of level 5, skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2017 season. She placed in the top ten in the all-around and fifth on vault at the Region 1 Championships.
As a level 8 gymnast in 2018, Nadia placed third on floor exercise and fifth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships, finishing ninth on floor exercise with a 9.350. In 2019, she qualified to the Level 9 State Championships.
When Nadia has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and reading. Nadia also spends her weekends volunteering at a special needs gymnastics class. Nadia was selected to be on the Athlete Leadership Council for gymSAFE, a non profit organization which focuses on educating the gymnastics community on ways to decrease gymnastics injuries. Nadia has a 4.0 GPA and is an honor student at Carlmont High School. During her freshman year, she earned a Math award for her excellent marks. As a sophomore, she is taking a challenging course load including Advanced Placement European History and Spanish 3 Honors. She will graduate in the spring of 2022.
