Rachel Wilke was born on May 12, 2003 in Rochester, NY to Chris and Tara Wilke. She has three sisters, Talia, Faith and Janna and a dog named Riley. Currently, Rachel is an honor student at her high school and she will graduate in 2021. She is a member of youth group at her church. When Rachel has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys singing, drawing and painting.

Rachel's mom put Rachel in Mommy and Me classes at 18 months old for fun and ever since she has been in love with the sport. Rachel has been training at Rochester Gymnastics Academy in Rochester, NY her whole gymnastics career. She was the vault champion at the 2011 Level 5 State Championships. At the 2012 Level 6 State Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 37.675 and first on vault.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2014, Rachel placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.075 and fourth on vault at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.075 and first on all events. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing third in the all-around with a 37.675, second on floor exercise and third on vault. Rachel was named to America's Top 100 on floor exercise with a 9.725.

Rachel competed as a level 9 gymnast for the next two seasons. In 2016, she placed second in the all-around and second on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, Rachel finished second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals, finishing sixth in the all-around, fourth on uneven bars and fifth on vault. In 2017, Rachel finished first in the all-around with a 37.875 and first on vault, uneven bars and balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she placed second in the all-around with a 38.050 and first on uneven bars and balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals for the second time where she placed 15th overall and fifth on floor exercise. Rachel was named to America's Top 100 on uneven bars with a 9.650 in 2016 and in the all-around with a 38.050 in 2017.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2018, Rachel placed second in the all-around with a 37.600 and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around and second on vault and floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Columbus, OH. In 2019, Rachel placed third in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the State Championships and Region 6 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals again in Indianapolis, IN, finishing fourth on floor exercise and eighth on vault. In 2020, Rachel qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Rachel trains 20-25 hours per week at Rochester Gymnastics Academy (RGA) in Rochester, NY under coaches Julia and Barry Coss. She is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals again. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
