Reaia La’el Floyd was born on May 6, 2001 in Long Branch, NJ to Rodney and Shawnda Floyd. She has two siblings, Shemaiah “Co-Co” and Gemariah “Gem” and a dog named Chocolate. Currently, Reaia is a junior at Prestonwood Christian Academy (PCAplus) and she will graduate from high school in 2019. During Reaia's spare time, she enjoys cooking, writing and making iMovies.

Reaia's mom put her into gymnastics class when she was a toddler so she could socialize and have fun with other kids. A few years later, Reaia was invited to join a pre-team at a local gym in New Jersey and she never looked back. She started competing as a level 4 gymnast at age seven. She placed first in the all-around in many level 4 and level 5 meets. Reaia was also named to National TOPs "B" Team in the fall of 2010. She skipped level 6 and tested out level 7 in 2011. In the spring of 2011, Reaia started training at North Stars Gymnastics Academy in Township, NJ.

In the fall of 2011, Reaia made the National TOPs Team. She started competing as a level 8 gymnast for the 2012 season. She had a great meet at the State Championships where she placed third in the all-around with a 38.325 and fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise. At the Region 7 Championships, she finished 12th in the all-around, fifth on uneven bars and sixth on floor exercise. As a level 9 gymnast in 2013, Reaia placed first on vault, second on floor exercise and third on balance beam at the Excalibur Cup. At the Ocean State Classic, she finished fifth in the all-around and third on vault and floor exercise. Reaia was unable to compete rest of the season due to an injury. Reaia's family relocated to Texas in March 2013.

In 2014, Reaia moved up to level 10 where she competed at the State Championships and qualified to the Region 3 Championships. In 2015, Reaia placed fifth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the Metroplex Challenge. At the Pikes Peak Cup, she placed second on vault and third on uneven bars. Reaia finished seventh in the all-around, second on vault and third on uneven bars at the WOGA Classic. She was unable to compete rest of the season due to an injury.

In 2016, Reaia finished fourth on floor exercise with a 9.375 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.725, fifth on balance beam and sixth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX where she placed 18th in the all-around with a 37.525 and tenth on uneven bars.

Currently Reaia is preparing for the 2017 season as a level 10 gymnast. She trains about 29 hours per week at Metroplex Gymnastics in Allen, TX under coaches Marnie Futch and Gina Logan-Quinlan. Reaia would like to qualify to international elite as well as to obtain a college scholarship to a Division 1 school.
