Scarlet first discovered gymnastics at age three when her pre-school took the class once a week to what would become her future gym. She showed potential for the sport even then and began competing at the age of seven, after only five months of training. Scarlet went from level 4 to level 9 in four years! She was the 2014 Level 7 State Balance Beam Champion and 2015 Level 8 State Floor Exercise Bronze Medalist. In 2016 as a level 9 gymnast, Scarlet placed second in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise at the Region 2 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she earned a silver medal on uneven bars.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2017, Scarlet placed second in the all-around and second on all events at the State Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing third in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on uneven bars at the Region 2 Championships. In 2018, Scarlet was the Level 10 State Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor Exercise and All-Around Champion. At the Region 2 Championships, she earned silver medals on vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals, finishing seventh on balance beam with a 9.500. In 2019, Scarlet won the all-around title at the State Championships (4 golds & 1 silver) and Region 2 Championships (3 golds, 1 silver & 1 bronze) and qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals.

In 2020, Scarlet qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. Her 2020 season was highlighted with a 37.050 AA at Emerald Team Challenge and two all-around wins at Top Gun Challenge and Pacific Edge. In 2021, Scarlet qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing fourth in the all-around and second on vault and uneven bars at the Region 2 Championships.

When Scarlet is not training over 25 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her friends and family. Scarlet is an honor student at North Eugene High School. Scarlet has been in the Spanish Dual Immersion program since kindergarten.
