Sophie followed her older sister into gymnastics at the age of three at TAGS Gymnastics in Eden Prairie, MN. She was the 2016 Level 4 MN State Uneven Bars Silver Medalist. She competed level 5 in 2017, skipped level 6, tested out of level 7 and quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2019 season. At the 2019 Level 8 State Championships, Sophie took home a gold medal on balance beam with a 9.550. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around and fifth on vault and uneven bars.

Sophie moved up to level 9 for the 2020 season where she qualified to the Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She qualified to the 2021 Level 9 State Championships. Following her 2021 season, Sophie moved to Legacy Gymnastics in Eden Prairie, MN. In 2022, Sophie placed fourth in the all-around and first on balance beam at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished second in the all-around, first on balance beam and floor exercise and second on uneven bars. Sophie qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she placed 11th overall and second on balance beam.

As a first-year level 10 gymnastic 2023, Sophie competed at the Level 10 State Championships and qualified to the Region 4 Championships. In 2024, Sophie placed sixth in the all-around and second on balance beam at the Region 4 Championships. She qualified to the Level 10 Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL.

When Sophie isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys journaling, spending time with her friends and listening to music. She is the daughter to Debbie and Chuck Williams and she has an older sister, Izzy and two Tibetan terriers, Candy and Fiona. Currently, Sophie is an honor student at Minnetonka High School and she will graduate from high school in 2026. She is a member of VANTAGE Health Sciences Program.
