Anastasia "Tassie" Maiorino was born on February 4, 2005 in New York to Alexandria and Robert Maiorino. She has an older brother, Augustine, a twin brother, Will and three dogs. Currently, Tassie is an honor student at Cold Spring Harbor Jr/Sr High School and she will graduate in 2023. She has been on High Honor Roll every quarter in junior high school. During Tassie's spare time, she enjoys drawing, making jewelry, swimming, baking and reading.

When Tassie was three years old, she took a mommy and me class at a local gym with her twin brother, Will. She was encouraged to try a number of other sports but she was always found doing cartwheels on the field, court, etc.  In first grade, Tassie’s parents decided to put her back in gymnastics two days a week for fun. Tassie has been training under Tammy Marshall her entire gymnastics career.

As a level 4 gymnast in 2014, Tassie won the all-around title at the State Championships. She moved up to level 5 for the 2015 season where she qualified to the State Championships. She skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2016 season. At the Level 7 State Championships, Tassie won the floor exercise title with a 9.600. Following her 2016 season, Tassie followed her coach to Infiniti Elite Gymnastics in Syosset, NY.

In 2017 as a level 8 gymnast, Tassie placed third in the all-around with a 37.450 and third on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around, second on floor exercise and third on vault. Tassie moved up to level 9 for the 2018 season. At the State Championships, she placed third in the all-around and second on floor exercise. Tassie won the all-around title with a 37.200 and grabbed gold medals on uneven bars and floor exercise at the Region 6 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Rochester, NY where she placed 11th on balance beam and 12th on vault. Tassie qualified to the Level 9 Region 6 Championships in 2019 but was unable to compete due to an injury.

Tassie trains 25 hours per week at Infiniti Elite Gymnastics in Syosset, NY under coach Tammy Marshall. Tassie is working hard to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals and to become a JO National champion. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
