Currently, Katie is a student at Kings Park High School and she will graduate from high school in 2021. When she has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and shopping.

Katie's parents enrolled her into dance and gymnastics classes when she was three years old. She fell in love with gymnastics, so she joined pre-team at a local gym. She started competing as a level 5 gymnast in 2012 at the age of eight where she won the all-around title with a 37.975 at the New York Early State Championships. She moved up to level 6 for the 2013 season, finishing first in the all-around with a 37.425 at the New York Early State Championships.

In 2014, Katie tested out of level 7 at the Manhattan Classic winning the all-around title with a 38.375 and quickly moved up to level 8 for rest of the season. At the State Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 37.850, first on floor exercise and second on uneven bars. She secured a spot on the Region 6 Super Team, where top 7 scores from each state in Region 6 competed against each other. She finished sixth in the all-around with a 37.925 and third on uneven bars and floor exercise.

As a level 9 gymnast in 2015, Katie finished second in the all-around with a 38.050 and first on uneven bars and balance beam at the State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 6 Championships where she won the all-around title with a 38.100. She earned gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise and a silver medal on vault. Katie qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Kissimmee, FL and won the all-around title with a 37.950 and placed first on vault and floor exercise, second on uneven bars and seventh on balance beam. Katie was on America's Top 100 in the all-around (three times) and balance beam. At the same time, Katie was competing in elite qualifiers and qualified for the Hopes Championships. She had to pull out due to an injury.

After three years of homeschooling, Katie decided to go back to school and compete as a level 10 gymnast. In 2016, due to coach/gym changes and the sudden death of her beloved grandfather, she only competed twice, but had a great meet at the Heartland Spring Classic where she scored a 9.250 on vault and 9.525 on floor exercise in her first level 10 meet. Following her 2016 season, she moved to Apex Athletics in St. James, NY.

In 2018, Katie had a fantastic season where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.150, first on uneven bars and second on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she finished second in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH, finishing seventh in the all-around with 38.000, third on floor exercise and eighth on uneven bars. Katie was named to America's Top 100 on floor exercise with a 9.750. In 2019, Katie won every meet she competed in except for the last one, Junior Olympic Nationals where she finished sixth overall with a 38.125 out of 57 gymnasts. Katie was the 2019 NY State Vault, Uneven Bars and All-Around Champion (38.525) and 2019 Region 6 Uneven Bars and All-Around Champion (37.725).

Katie trains about 22 hours per week at Apex Athletics in St. James, NY under coaches Rob and Amanda Wing. Katie is working hard to qualify to JO Nationals and place in the top ten. Katie's long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
