Addison was tumbling all over the place, so her parents decided to enroll her into gymnastics at the age of five so she could learn how to tumble safely. She has been training at Sonshine Gymnastics in Holly Springs, NC her whole gymnastics career. She was the 2016 Level 2 NC State Uneven Bars and Balance Beam Champion, 2017 Level 4 NC State All-Around Silver Medalist and 2018 Level 5 NC State All-Around and Vault Champion. She was named to America's Top 100 on uneven bars and in the all-around (2x) in level 5.
In 2020, Addison skipped level 6 and moved up to level 7. She qualified to the Level 7 State Championships but was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was named to America's Top 100 on uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around in level 7. In 2021 as a level 8 gymnast, Addison placed third in the all-around with a 38.350 and first on uneven bars and balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars.
Addison competed level 9 for the next two seasons. In 2022, Addison placed fifth in the all-around and second on uneven bars at the Region 8 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals, finishing in the top ten on uneven bars. In 2023, Addison took home a bronze medal on uneven bars at the State Championships. She finished sixth in the all-around and sixth on floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals again, finishing in the top ten on floor exercise. As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2024, Addison placed second on balance beam at both State Championships and Region 8 Championships.
When Addison isn't busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys shopping, swimming, coloring and attending live music events. She is the daughter to Alicen and Brandon Pittenger and she has two sisters, Gracen and Emmerson and two dogs named Winston and Millie. Currently, Addison is an honor student at Fuquay Varina High School and she will graduate in 2027. She is a member of her high school gymnastics team.
