Alyssa went to Clarksville Elite Gymnastics Center in Clarksville, TN to get a skill for dance at the age of eight, she decided then she wanted to do gymnastics. About one year later, she started competing as a level 3 gymnast in 2017. She placed fourth in the all-around and third on balance beam at the 2018 Level 4 State Championships and seventh in the all-around and fifth on floor exercise at the 2019 Level 5 State Championships. Alyssa qualified to the 2020 Level 6 State Championships but was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 as a level 7 gymnast, Alyssa finished third in the all-around, first on floor exercise and third on uneven bars. .
When Alyssa isn't busy training 30 hours each week in the gym, she loves to bake, paint and create things. She loves volunteering to teach special needs children at her private school. Alyssa wants to be a special education teacher when she grows up. Currently, Alyssa is an honor student at FPC Learning Center where she is currently taking four high school classes as an eighth grader. She is in her third year as a mathlete and she was named student of the year from the 2020/2021 school year. Alyssa is fluent in Spanish.
