Danica started taking gymnastics classes at the age of six at Lake Norman Gymnastics in Denver, NC. She moved to Everest Gymnastics in Cornelius, NC in 2018 and has been there ever since. Her gymnastics career took off after finishing first on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around with a 38.000 at the Level 4 State Championships. As a level 5 gymnast in 2019, Danica placed second in the all-around with a 38.525 and second on uneven bars at the State Championships.

During the 2020 season, Danica skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7. She qualified to the State Championships, but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. As a level 8 gymnast in 2021, Danica placed second in the all-around with a 37.875, second on uneven bars and third on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing fourth in the all-around with a 37.675 and second on uneven bars.

In 2024 as a level 9 gymnast, Danica placed second on balance beam and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she placed in the top ten in the all-around, fourth on floor exercise and seventh on vault.

When Danica isn't busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys cooking and painting. She is the daughter to Jonathan and Cindy Stoner and she has a brother, Gabe and three English Mastiffs named Moose, Groot and Mavis. Currently, Danica is a student at East Lincoln High School and she will graduate from high school in 2027.
