Elizabeth started gymnastics classes at a local gym when she was five years old. She quickly fell in love with the sport and started pre-team and then training excel bronze in 2013. She switched to Sonshine Gymnastics in Holly Springs, NC after her first competition season in 2014 when she began asking for more time in the gym. Elizabeth was the 2014 Level 3 NC State Vault and Floor Exercise Champion, 2015 Level 4 NC State All-Around Bronze Medalist and 2016 Level 5 NC State All-Around Bronze Medalist.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2017, Elizabeth placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.875 and fourth on uneven bars and balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing fourth in the all-around with a 38.075 and fourth on balance beam. She moved up to level 8 for the 2018 season where she placed in the top ten in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships. Elizabeth won the all-around, vault and floor exercise titles at the Region 8 Championships. Elizabeth was named to America's Top 100 on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around in level 8.

In 2019, Elizabeth finished fifth in the all-around and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Kissimmee, FL after finishing fourth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars at the Region 8 Championships. At the Eastern Nationals, Elizabeth placed in the top ten in the all-around and seventh on uneven bars and floor exercise.

Elizabeth moved up to level 10 for the 2020 season. She qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Elizabeth placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.700, first on floor exercise and fourth on balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she placed in the top ten in the all-around and first on balance beam and floor exercise. Elizabeth had a great 2022 season where she placed first on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 38.400 at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around and first on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 10 National Championships where she placed ninth overall with a 38.025 and seventh on floor exercise out of 57 gymnasts.

When Elizabeth isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys swimming, traveling, shopping and hanging out with her family and friends. She is oldest of three children to Stephen and Cara Leary and she has a younger sister, Raegan (Level 8 at Sonshine) and a younger brother, Max. Elizabeth is an honor student at Crossroads Flex High School and she will graduate in 2024.
