Emma started taking preschool gymnastics classes at Twisters Gymnastics in Lakewood, NJ at the age of three and she fell in love with the sport. She moved to Legacy Gymnastics in Toms River, NJ in 2020 and has been there ever since.

Emma competed in the Xcel program for four years between 2021-2024. She grabbed gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the 2021 XS State Championships and second on vault and floor exercise at the 2022 XG State Championships. She then placed sixth on uneven bars at the 2023 XP State Championships and sixth on vault at the 2024 XD State Championships. Emma tested out of level 8 at the 2024 Tumbling for the Troops and she is now competing in the level 9 season for the 2025 season.

When Emma isn't busy training over 15 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys running. Emma is the daughter to Tara and Timothy Richmond and she has two dogs named Toby and Bentley. Currently, Emma is an honor student at Central Regional High School and she will graduate in 2027. She is a member of Key Club, Cricut Club, Spirit Club and High School Gymnastics team. Emma also volunteers during her spare time coaching at Legacy Gymnastics and volunteering at Crystal Lake Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
