Gabriella Meghan Hartley was born on April 29, 2003 in Orlando, FL to Wendi Stewart and Tony Hartley. Gabi is the youngest child in the family where she has two big brothers, Branden and Austin and two big stepbrothers, Andrew and Alex. Gabi's stepdad, John is one of her biggest fans!

Gabi's mom enrolled her into recreational gymnastics at age four at Brandy Johnson's Global Gymnastics in Clermont, FL. Gabi finished second in the all-around at the 2010 Level 3 State Championships and 2011 Level 4 State Championships.

In 2013, Gabi skipped level 6 and immediately moved up to level 7. At the State Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around, second on uneven bars and third on balance beam. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships. As a level 8 gymnast in 2014, Gabi won the all-around title with a 38.050 at the State Championships. She also earned a gold medal on balance beam and silver medals on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise. Gabi qualified to the Region 8 Championships where she placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.525 and first on uneven bars.

Gabi moved up to level 9 for the 2015 season where she finished second in the all-around with a 37.425, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Gabi placed second in the all-around with a 37.425, first on uneven bars and fourth on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Kissimmee, FL, finishing eighth in the all-around with a 37.075 and top nine on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise in the Junior 1 session.


As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2016, Gabi finished sixth in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.475 and fourth on uneven bars and balance beam. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ft. Worth, TX where she placed 19th in the all-around, 10th on floor exercise and 12th on uneven bars out of 56 gymnasts. In 2017, Gabi placed third in the all-around, first on uneven bars and second on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished eighth in the all-around and third on uneven bars. Gabi qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. In May 2017, Gabi left her long-time gym to train at Ace Gymnastics in Longwood, FL.

In 2018, Gabi placed sixth in the all-around and sixth on uneven bars at the Region 8 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH for the third time. Gabi was the alternate for the 2019 Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing in the top ten in the all-around at the Region 8 Championships.

Gabi trains 27 hours per week at Ace Gymnastics in Longwood, FL under coaches Mikara Steinberg and Ray Gnat. Gabi is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast as well as to qualify to the Junior Olympic Nationals the next few years. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
