Hailey Vultaggio was born on October 30, 2002 in New York to Carl and Joyce Vultaggio. She has two older sisters, Nicolle and Noel, an older brother, CJ, two dogs, two cats and a bearded dragon. Currently, Hailey is an honor student at Connetguot High School and she will graduate from high school in 2020. When Hailey has time outside of gymnastics, she enjoys going to the beach and baking.

Hailey's sister, Nicolle who is 15 years older than Hailey, was working at Debbie's Gym in Holbrook, N.Y. Nicolle was hoping that Hailey would be a cheerleader just like her, but instead she chose to be a gymnast. Hailey started her competitive gymnastics career at Eastern Gymnastics in Smithtown, NY. Following her level 5 season in 2012, Hailey moved to Gold Medal Gymnastics - Smithtown.

As a level 6 gymnast in 2013, Hailey won the all-around title with a 37.900 at the State Championships. She also placed second on vault, third on uneven bars and fourth on balance beam and floor exercise. Hailey was named America's Top 100 on uneven bars, floor exercise and in the all-around (twice). She tested out of level 7 and quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season. At the State Championships, she placed fifth on vault and sixth on uneven bars. Hailey qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing first in the all-around with a 38.350 and first on all events. Hailey was in America's Top 100 for the all-around in level 8.

In 2015 as a level 9 gymnast, Hailey finished second on floor exercise and third on vault at the State Championships. She did really well at the Region 6 Championships where she finished third in the all-around with a 37.550, first on uneven bars and floor exercise and third on vault. Hailey qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.325, second on uneven bars, fifth on vault and tenth on balance beam and floor exercise. Hailey was named to America's Top 100 again for her floor score.

Hailey attended The U.S. Olympic Training Center in Huntsville, TX once every month between August 2014 and November 2014. She also participated at the AOGC National Elite Qualifier in Los Angeles, CA. In the summer of 2015, Hailey decided to take a short break from gymnastics. During that time, she joined track team at her school where she broke several records. In April 2016, Hailey was ready to return to gymnastics, so she joined All Star Gymnastics in Levittown, NY. Hailey competed in 4 meets in 2018 but was unable to finish the season due to an injury. In 2019, Hailey placed third on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Region 6 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. In the summer of 2019, Hailey moved to Apex Athletics in St. James, NY.

Hailey trains 22 hours per week at Apex Athletics in St. James, NY under coaches Rob and Amanda Wing. Hailey's long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
