Hayley started taking dance and gymnastics classes at the age of two. She enjoyed flipping and swinging on the bars and decided to focus on gymnastics so that she could “learn to do more tricks”.
Hayley started her competitive gymnastics career at Win-Win Gymnastics in Odenton, MD where she competed from Level 2 through Level 9.
Hayley qualified for the 2020 Level 7 State Championships but was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a level 8 gymnast in 2021, Hayley won the all-around title with a 37.925 and grabbed gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships. Hayley continued competing level 8 in 2022 where she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.325 and third on vault at the State Championships, qualifying to the Region 7 Championships. Hayley tested out of level 9 and began training level 10 in 2023. She spent the Spring 2023 focusing on her skills and preparing for the 2024 season. Following Hayley's 2023 season, she moved to United Gymnastix in Reisterstown, MD.
As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2024, Hayley placed eighth in the all-around with a 37.300 and fourth on balance beam at the Region 7 Championships. She was the first alternate for the Level 10 Nationals. In 2025, Hayley qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury.
When Hayley isn't busy training 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys cooking, sketching, going on walks, reading, and shopping. She is the daughter of Phil and Nicole Lark and has one brother. Currently, Hayley is an honor student at River Hill High School and will graduate in 2026. She is the Student Community/Parents Communications Chair for the Black Leadership Union Club.
