Josie saw gymnastics on the 2012 Olympics and it was the only sport she was gravitated to, so Josie's mom signed her up for gymnastics classes at the age of three. Josie began her gymnastics career at Gleason's Gymnastics School in Eagan, MN. Following her level 5 season in 2019, Josie began training at Legacy Gymnastics in Eden Prairie, MN and has been there ever since.

As a level 7 gymnast in 2020, Josie qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She moved up to level 8 for the 2021 season where she qualified to the Region 4 Championships. In 2022, Josie placed first in the all-around and first on uneven bars at the Level 8 State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Josie won the all-around title with a 37.000. She also placed third on uneven bars and balance beam and fourth on floor exercise.

In 2023 as a level 9 gymnast, Josie finished fourth on floor exercise at the State Championships and fifth on floor exercise at the Region 4 Championships. Josie continued competing level 9 for the 2024 season where she finished first on floor exercise and third on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Josie finished ninth in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals, finishing sixth on floor exercise with a 9.550.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2025, Josie took home a silver medal on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around, fifth on balance beam and sixth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 10 National Championships in Salt Lake City, UT.

When Josie isn't busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys baking, biking, being outdoors, choreographing, hair styling and playing games. Josie is the daughter to Nate and Lisa and she has a brother, Zach. Currently, she is an honor student at Two Rivers High School and she will graduate from high school in 2027.
