Kennedy began her gymnastics career at Gold Medal Gymnastics Center - Centereach in New York. She was the 2018 Level 5 NY State All-Around Champion with a 37.800. She skipped levels 6 and 7 and quickly moved up to level 8 for the 2019 season. She placed second in the all-around with a 37.825 and first on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing in the top ten in the all-around and third on uneven bars.

As a level 9 gymnast in 2020, Kennedy qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. As a level 9 gymnast in 2021, Kennedy placed eighth in the all-around and third on vault at the Region 7 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in College Park, GA where she finished fifth on floor exercise and ninth on vault out of 29 gymnasts.

In 2022 as a first-year level 10 gymnast, Kennedy placed third in the all-around at the State Championships and qualified to the Region 7 Championships. She also participated in elite qualifiers throughout the season. In 2023, Kennedy placed second in the all-around and first on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Level 10 Nationals in Oklahoma after finishing sixth in the all-around and third on floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. In 2024, Kennedy placed first in the all-around with a 37.725 and second on vault and uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, Kennedy placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.750 and fourth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 10 Nationals.
