Mariyah began taking gymnastics for fun at the age of six at a local gym in Queens, NY. She fell in love with the sport and quickly progressed with the sport. She was the 2017 Level 5 NY State All-Around Bronze Medalist. She skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2018 season. She placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.525 and fourth on vault and uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing eighth in the all-around and fifth on uneven bars.
In 2019 as a level 8 gymnast, Mariyah placed second in the all-around with a 37.575, first on vault and third on uneven bars at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing third in the all-around and second on vault. Mariyah continued competing level 8 in 2020 where she qualified to the State Championships. She was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mariyah was unable to compete most of the 2021 level 9 season due to an injury. She came back in 2022 as a first-year level 10 gymnast. She placed third on uneven bars at the State Championships and second on uneven bars at the Region 6 Championships. Mariyah qualified to the Level 10 Nationals as an uneven bars specialist but was unable to compete due to a broken toe. In the fall of 2022, Mariyah moved to North Stars Gymnastics in Boonton, NJ. In 2023, Mariyah took home a bronze medal on uneven bars at the Region 7 Championships and qualified to the Level 10 National Championships in Oklahoma City, OK.
In 2024, Mariyah placed third in the all-around with a 38.150 and second on vault, balance beam and floor exercise scoring a 9.625, 9.450 and 9.525 respectively. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships, finishing fifth on vault. In 2025, Mariyah took home a silver medal on uneven bars with a 9.700 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships, finishing fifth on floor exercise, sixth on balance beam and eighth on vault.
When Mariyah isn't busy training over 30 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and shopping. She currently resides in New York with her parents, Yosef and Maury, three brothers, Dylen, Kobie, Sebastian and four dogs. Currently, Mariyah is an honor student at International Virtual Learning Academy and she will graduate from high school in 2026.
