In 2011, Mia's friend was taking her home from a science summer camp and they went to pick up his sister from gymnastics class at Atlanta North Stars Gymnastics (ANSG). Mia saw all of the girls doing gymnastics and it inspired her to want to try it out. Mia's mom signed her up for a recreational class once a week that started that fall and then the following May, she joined the compulsory team. She has been training at ANSG her whole gymnastics career!

Mia was the 2015 Level 5 GA State Uneven Bars Bronze Medalist and 2017 Level 7 GA State Uneven Bars Silver Medalist. She moved up to level 8 for the next two seasons. She placed fifth in the all-around and fifth on vault at the 2018 State Championships. In 2019, Mia placed third in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships where Mia took home a gold medal on floor exercise and placed seventh in the all-around.

Mia's 2020 level 9 season was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic. She bounced back in 2021 where she grabbed gold medals on uneven bars and in the all-around at the Level 9 State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Mia placed fourth in the all-around and first on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in College Park, GA where she became the Level 9 Eastern National All-Around Champion with a 37.625! She also finished second on uneven bars, third on floor exercise and fifth on balance beam.

In 2022 as a first-year level 10 gymnast, Mia placed ninth overall at the State Championships and 12th overall at the Region 8 Championships.
