Mina watched Shawn Johnson on television at the 2008 Olympic Games and not long after, she asked her parents if she could give gymnastics a try. She started taking gymnastics classes at Airborne Gymnastics Training Center in Santa Clara, CA when she was six years old and fell in love with the sport. Mina started competing level 4 in 2010 where she won the floor exercise title with a 9.500 at the State Championships. In 2011, she placed second in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the Level 5 State Championships. Mina grabbed gold medals on vault, balance beam and in the all-around at the 2012 Level 6 State Championships.

Mina competed as a level 7 gymnast in 2014, finishing first in the all-around with a 37.900 and first on balance beam. She competed one level 8 meet in 2014 and moved up to level 9 for the 2016 season. At the State Championships, Mina finished third in the all-around and second on balance beam. She had a great meet at the Region 1 Championships where she placed second in the all-around with a 37.775 and first on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she brought home gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around, a silver medal on vault and a bronze medal on uneven bars!

Following Mina's 2016 season, she moved to San Mateo Gymnastics in Belmont, CA. As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2017, she placed eighth in the all-around with a 37.125 and seventh on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. In 2018, Mina placed fourth in the all-around and second on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 1 Championships, she finished seventh in the all-around and third on balance beam. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Ohio where she placed ninth in the all-around with a 37.800 and eighth on balance beam out of 57 gymnasts.

In 2019, Mina qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to an injury. In 2020, she couldn't compete at the Level 10 State Championships due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Mina trains 29 hours per week at San Mateo Gymnastics in Belmont, CA under coaches Armen Astoain and Oksana Bystrova. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
