Nailah started gymnastics when she was three years old. Her mom heard Nailah doing flips off of her brother’s top bunk bed onto a mattress on the floor one day. Within a week, her mom enrolled Nailah into recreational gymnastics at Sugar Land Gymnastics in Texas. She loved it right from the beginning. After about six months she was invited to work out with the "Hope" team.

Nailah competed level 3 in 2012 and level 4 in 2013. She tested out of level 5 and quickly moved up to level 6 for the 2015 season. She placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.100 and fourth on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. Nailah had a great season in 2016 as a level 7 gymnast. At the State Championships, she placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.775, third on balance beam and fourth on vault. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing 11th overall with a 37.375.

As a level 8 gymnast in 2017, Nailah finished second in the all-around with a 37.600, second on balance beam and third on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, placing first in the all-around with a 38.225. She also finished first on uneven bars and floor exercise and second on vault and balance beam. Nailah was named to America's Top 100 in the all-around in level 8. In 2018, Nailah competed in one level 9 meet before moving up to level 10 for the rest of the season. In April 2018, Nailah followed her coach to Houston Gymnastics Academy. At the State Championships, Nailah finished third on uneven bars and seventh overall. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing fifth on uneven bars.

In 2019, Nailah placed fourth in the all-around and first on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she earned a bronze medal on floor exercise. Following her 2019 season, her long-time coach decided to retire from coaching. Therefore, Nailah moved to Pearland Elite Gymnastics in Pearland, TX. In 2020, Nailah qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Nailah placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.850, second on vault and uneven bars at the Level 10 State Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals after finishing fourth in the all-around with a 38.475, first on floor exercise and second on vault at the Region 3 Championships. Nailah had an amazing meet at the Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL where she took home bronze medals on vault and uneven bars and placed sixth in the all-around and fourth on floor exercise out of 57 gymnasts!

Nailah trains 20 hours per week at Pearland Elite Gymnastics in Pearland, TX under coaches Tasha Beale, Nick Cedillo and Tony Pineda. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
