Olivia McCoy was born on November 18, 2004 in New York to Benjamin and Jackie McCoy. She has a brother, Joah and two cats named Beta and Duchess. During Olivia's spare time, she enjoys swimming, spending time with her friends and listening to music. Currently, Olivia is an honor student at Morrisville Eaton Central School and will graduate from high school in 2022. Some of Olivia's school achievements include:

Olivia's mother's best friend suggested gymnastics when she noticed that Olivia liked to flip. Olivia started taking gymnastics classes for fun when she was six years old in July 2010 and fell in love with the sport.

Four short years later, Olivia started competing level 7 in 2014. She placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.025 and fourth on balance beam with a 9.600 at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2015 season where she placed third in the all-around with a 37.950, first on balance beam with a 9.700 and second on floor exercise with a 9.500 at the State Championships. Olivia qualified to the Region 6 Championships, finishing fourth in the all-around with a 37.450 and second on balance beam with a 9.550. In 2016, Olivia finished second in the all-around with a 37.250, first on vault and third on floor exercise at the Level 8 State Championships. At the Regionals, she placed first in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise.

Olivia moved up to level 9 for the next two seasons. In 2017, she earned a bronze medal on balance beam with a 9.575 at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she placed sixth in the all-around and third on balance beam and floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Lansing, MI. In 2018, Olivia placed fourth in the all-around and second on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 6 Championships. Olivia placed fourth in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the 2019 Level 9 State Championships. She qualified to the 2019 Level 9 Eastern Nationals after finishing first in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the 2019 Region 6 Championships. In 2020, Olivia qualified to the Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2021, Olivia placed third on balance beam at the State Championships and sixth on balance beam at the Region 6 Championships.

Olivia trains 20 hours per week at Valley Gymnastics Training Center in Utica, NY under coach Danielle Cerminaro. She is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast. Her long-term goal is to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
