Olivia's parents wanted to find a special activity for Olivia to be part of after her younger brother was born. So, they enrolled her into recreational gymnastics at the age of four. Olivia started recreational gymnastics at Bull City Gymnastics in Durham, NC and has been there ever since. As a level 4 gymnast in 2010, Olivia finished fourth in the all-around with a 37.900 and first on vault and uneven bars at the State Championships. She competed at the xcel level in 2012 where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.000 and first on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. Olivia qualified to the Xcel Regionals, finishing third in the all-around with a 38.400 and first on vault and floor exercise.

In 2012 as a level 6 gymnast, Olivia finished first in the all-around with a 37.625 and first on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. She moved up to level 7 for the 2013 season where she placed third in the all-around with a 37.975, first on vault and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. Olivia qualified to the Region 8 Championships, finishing first in the all-around with a 38.250, first on floor exercise and third on vault and uneven bars. Olivia competed in four level 8 meets in 2014 and easily qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete rest of the season due to an injury. Olivia came back strong in 2015 as a second-year level 8 gymnast. At the State Championships, she placed third on uneven bars and fourth on balance beam. Olivia won the all-around title with a 38.075 at the Region 8 Championships. She also placed second on uneven bars and floor exercise and third on balance beam.

Olivia moved up to level 9 for the 2016 season. She placed sixth in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Olivia finished third in the all-around with a 37.300, first on uneven bars, third on floor exercise and fourth on balance beam. She qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA where she placed ninth in the all-around with a 37.025, second on balance beam and ninth on floor exercise. Olivia was in America's top 100 level 9 scores on uneven bars three times.

In 2017 as a first-year level 10 gymnast, Olivia placed in the top ten in the all-around and third on balance beam at the State Championships. She was unable to compete at Regionals due to an injury. In 2018, Olivia won the all-around title with a 37.925 and second on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she placed fourth on uneven bars with a 9.475. Olivia placed seventh in the all-around with a 37.025 and fourth on uneven bars and balance beam at the 2019 State Championships. She won the uneven bars title with a 9.700 at the 2019 Region 8 Championships. In 2020, Olivia qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Olivia trains 24 hours per week at Bull City Gymnastics in Durham, NC under coaches Stephen and Amanda Maness. Olivia is working hard to become a successful level 10 gymnast as well as to obtain a Division I college gymnastics scholarship.
