Samantha loved to jump and climb when she was a toddler, so her parents decided to enroll three-year-old Sam into gymnastics for fun. She started her competitive gymnastics career at Star Center Gymnastics in Austin, TX.

Sam competed level 7 in 2017 where she placed fifth on balance beam at the State Championships. Following her 2017 season, she moved to National Elite Gymnastics in Austin, TX. She had a great season in 2018, earning gold medals on vault, uneven bars and in the all-around with a 37.500 at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, Sam finished third in the all-around with a 37.900, first on vault and fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise.

As a level 9 gymnast in 2019, Sam placed third in the all-around and third on balance beam at the Region 3 Championships. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals in Spokane, WA, finishing third in the all-around with a 37.425 in her age group. She also placed fourth on vault and floor exercise and fifth on uneven bars.

Sam moved up to level 10 for the 2020 season but was unable to compete at the State Championships due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Sam placed fifth in the all-around, second on uneven bars and third on vault at the Level 10 State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished 11th overall with a 37.375 and seventh on vault. This qualified Samantha to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL where she placed in the top ten on uneven bars with a 9.500 out of 57 gymnasts!

When Sam isn't busy training over 27 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys drawing, painting and listening to music. She is an honor student at Dripping Springs High School and she will graduate in 2022. She is a member of HOSA (Future Health Professionals) and Adventure Club Leadership Team.
