Savannah started gymnastics in a Mommy & Me class when she was 1.5 years old because Savannah was very active! After starting this class, her parents noticed that Savannah enjoyed being upside down most of the time. Savannah's mom decided to put her in organized gymnastics after she broke the towel bar while trying to hang on it. She started her competitive gymnastics career at Byers Gymnastics in California when she was three years old. She was not old enough to compete until her family relocated to Ohio, at the age of six in 2011. Savannah has been training at Kids Are Tops Sports Center in Centerville, OH ever since. Savannah loves this sport because it has taught her many life skills to include discipline, focus, resilience, determination, team work and time management.

Savannah was the 2015 Level 4 Ohio State Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Floor Exercise and All-Around Champion with a 38.525, 2016 Level 6 Ohio State Vault, Balance Beam, Floor Exercise and All-Around Champion with a 38.150 and 2017 Level 8 Ohio State Vault Champion and All-Around Silver Medalist with a 37.650. Savannah moved up to level 9 for the 2018 season where she qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to sprained ankle.

In 2019, Savannah moved up to level 10. She qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was limited to one event due to strained stomach muscle. She did qualify to Region 5 Championships as a specialist. Savannah's 2020 season was cut short due to walking pneumonia and COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Savannah placed fifth in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars and floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 5 Championships, finishing in the top ten in the all-around with a 37.300.

In the fall of 2021, Savannah tore her meniscus in her knee and had a surgery in November. She had to miss the 2022 season to recover from the surgery.

When Savannah isn't busy training 18 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys coaching younger gymnasts, spending time with her friends and cooking. She is the daughter to Kelly and Linda West and she has two brothers, Evan and Alec and a dog named Hiro. Currently, Savannah is an honor student at Centerville High School and she will graduate in 2023. She is a member of SADD Club (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and volunteers at various local community service projects.
