Sharon was in acro and dance classes but she was bored and wanted to try something new. She decided to give gymnastics a try at a local gym. She fell in love with the sport and joined level 3 competitive gymnastics team at Capital Gymnastics in 2013. She competed level 4 in 2014 (Named to America's Top 100 on floor), tested out of level 5, skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7 for the 2016 season. She placed sixth in the all-around with a 38.075 at the 2016 Level 7 TX State Championships. She qualified to the Region 3 Championships, finishing eighth in the all-around with a 37.950 and second on vault.
As a level 8 gymnast in 2017, Sharon placed eighth in the all-around with a 37.575, fourth on balance beam and fifth on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to Regionals. Sharon competed level 9 for the next two seasons. She earned a bronze medal on balance beam and placed fourth on uneven bars at the 2018 Region 3 Championships. In 2019, Sharon took home a silver medal on balance beam at the State Championships and placed sixth on balance beam and floor exercise at the Region 3 Championships.
In 2020, Sharon qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. Sharon placed seventh in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the 2021 State Championships. She was named Level 10 National alternate after finishing eighth in the all-around and third on uneven bars at the 2021 Region 3 Championships. In 2022, Sharon placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.100 and third on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 3 Championships, she finished fifth on vault and in the top ten in the all-around.
