Simone M. Evans was born on December 3, 2001 in New Jersey.to Paul and Sharae. She is the youngest of five children and she has four older brothers. Simone is a student at North Paulding High School and she will graduate from high school in 2020. During Simone's spare time, she enjoys swimming, watching movies and working on her lip balm company, "SME."
Simone started out in ballet when she was young, but she fell in love with gymnastics after trying out a recreational class at Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta (GAA). She has been training at GAA her whole gymnastics career.
As a level 7 gymnast in 2012, Simone finished seventh in the all-around and fourth on uneven bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2014 season where she won the all-around title with a 37.950 and grabbed gold medals on all events. She qualified to the Region 8 Championships and was on Level 8 Georgia State Team. In 2015, Simone competed level 9 where she placed third in the all-around and first on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished ninth in the all-around and third on balance beam. Simone was alternate for the Level 9 Eastern Nationals.
Simone moved up to level 10 for the 2016 season. She finished seventh in the all-around, third on floor exercise and fifth on balance beam at the State Championships. She placed in the top ten on uneven bars and floor exercise at the Region 8 Championships. Simone was unable to compete in 2017 due to an injury. In 2018, Simone placed sixth in the all-around and fifth on balance beam at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, she finished eighth in the all-around and eighth on floor exercise. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals but was unable to compete due to an injury. In 2019, Simone placed seventh on vault at the Region 8 Championships.
Simone trains 27 hours per week at Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta in Kennesaw, GA under coaches Jacob Giron and Elena Pankratova. Simone will join Lindenwood University gymnastics team during the 2020-2021 school year.
