Talia's parents tried other sports with Talia, like soccer but she was always doing cartwheels out on the field. After a Mommy and Me class, Talia officially started gymnastics with Coach Anna Maraia at six years old at Westchester Gymnastics in New York. Talia's family relocated to Utah, so she began training at Olympus Gymnastics in South Jordan, UT. She was the 2016 Level 3 Utah State Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and All-Around Champion and 2017 Level 5 Utah State Floor Exercise Silver Medalist.
As a level 7 gymnast in 2018, Talia grabbed gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.925 at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships where she scored a 37.900 in the all-around. Talia moved up to level 8 for the 2019 season. She finished fifth in the all-around, first on vault and second on balance beam at the State Championships. Following her 2019 season, Talia briefly trained at All American Gymnastics in Lindon, UT. She qualified to the Level 8 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Talia moved up to level 9 for the 2021 season. She placed seventh in the all-around, second on balance beam and third on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 1 Championships where she placed fourth on vault. She missed the 2022 season due to an injury. She qualified to the Level 9 State Championships in 2023.
When Talia isn't busy training over 25 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys surfing, bodyboarding, longboarding, going to her sister’s soccer games to cheer her on and traveling. She is the oldest of two children to Brad and Carrie Bott and she has a younger sister, Ella and two dogs named Koda and Meeka. Talia enjoys volunteering by reading to children with various disabilities. She also enjoys donating her leotards and gymnastics equipment to younger aspiring gymnasts.
