As a toddler, Talia was an early acrobat. During the day, Talia could often be found standing on the kitchen counter tops; and at night, she could climb out of her crib and be at your feet before you could close her bedroom door. Talia started gymnastics and dance, and was soon competing in both.

As a level 8 gymnast in 2015, Talia finished second on uneven bars and fifth on floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she placed first in the all-around with a 37.450 and first on uneven bars and balance beam. Talia moved up to level 9 for the 2016 season where she placed first in the all-around with a 38.200 and first on all events at the State Championships. At the Region 6 Championships, she finished first in the all-around with a 37.975 and first on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Talia qualified to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA finishing first in the all-around with a 37.700, first on uneven bars and second on floor exercise. Talia attended the J.O National Training Camp at the Karolyi Ranch in October 2016.

Talia moved up to level 10 for the 2017 season. At the State Championships, she placed third in the all-around with a 37.450, second on uneven bars and third on balance beam. Talia placed second in the all-around with a 37.350 and first on balance beam and third on uneven bars and floor exercise at the Region 6 Championships. She qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Indianapolis, IN where she placed 22nd overall, 13th on balance beam, 17th on uneven bars and 18th on vault out of 57 gymnasts.

In 2018, Talia placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.450 and first on balance beam at the State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 6 Championships, finishing first in the all-around with a 37.725, first on uneven bars and balance beam and fourth on vault. Talia qualified to the Junior Olympic Nationals in Cincinnati, OH for the second time where she brought home a silver medal on balance beam with a 9.660. Talia was the 2019 Junior Olympic National Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and All-Around Champion (38.325) and 2019 Junior Olympic National Team Member. She also earned gold medals on uneven bars and in the all-around with a 37.850 at the 2019 State Championships and fourth in the all-around with a 37.625, first on uneven bars and second on balance beam at the 2019 Region 6 Championships.

Talia trains 34 hours per week, twice a day sessions, at Rochester Gymnastics Academy in Rochester, NY under coaches Youlia and Barry Coss. Talia will join Boise State University gymnastics team during the 2020-2021 school year.
