Camie's mom put Camie in a tumble tots class when she was three years old. She eventually joined pre-team at Frederick Gymnastics Club in Frederick, MD. She was the 2016 Level 3 MD State All-Around, Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise Champion. In December 2017, Camie began training at Hill's Gymnastics in Gaithersburg, MD. Camie was the 2017 Level 5 MD Balance Beam Champion and All-Around Silver Medalist.

In 2018, Camie skipped level 6 and quickly moved up to level 7. She placed first in the all-around with a 37.925 and second on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise at the State Championships. For the 2019 season, she skipped level 8 and moved up to level 9 where she qualified to the Region 7 Championships. Camie qualified to the 2020 HOPES Classic and 2020 Level 9 State Championships but was unable to compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Camie qualified to HOPES pre-elite and competed at the HOPES Classic in 2021. In 2022, Camie placed fourth in the all-around and second on vault at the HOPES Classic. She qualified to the HOPES Championships where she took home gold medals in the all-around and on uneven bars as well as silver medals on vault and floor exercise.

In 2023, Camie qualified to junior international elite status after obtaining all-around qualifying score at the WOGA National Elite Qualifier in Texas. She competed at the Winter Cup, American Cup and US Classic. She qualified to the US National Championships in San Jose, CA. In 2024, Camie obtained elite qualifying score again at the Excalibur National Elite Qualifier in Virginia. She placed fifth on uneven bars and seventh overall at the Winter Cup. She had a great meet at the American Classic, finishing second in the all-around, first on vault and second on floor exercise. She was selected to represent the team USA at the Junior Pan American Championships in Colombia. A few weeks later, Camie traveled to Ft. Worth, TX for the US National Championships. She finished third in the all-around, second on vault and third on balance beam and floor exercise. She made the Junior US National Team.

When Camie isn't busy training over 30 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys playing guitar, arts & crafts, baking and shopping. She is the daughter to Matthew and Ann Westerman and she has a sister, Natalie, a cat and a bearded dragon.
