Ella took a recreational class at a community center where she fell in love with gymnastics. Ella's mom signed her up for recreational classes at Legacy Gymnastics in Eden Prairie, MN. Her recreational coach at Legacy Gymnastics suggested the Fast Track Program and the rest is history. Ella has been training at Legacy Gymnastics her whole gymnastics career. Ella was the 2018 Level 3 MN State All-Around, Vault & Uneven Bars Champion, 2019 Level 4 MN State Vault Silver Medalist and 2021 Level 6 MN State Vault Bronze Medalist.
In 2022, Ella skipped level 7 and quickly moved up to level 8. She finished fifth overall and first on vault at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around and fourth on balance beam. Ella continued competing level 8 for the 2023 season where she placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.500 at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she placed third in the all-around, second on vault and third on floor exercise.
Ella moved up to level 9 for the 2024 season. She placed fourth in the all-around with a 37.400 and fourth on vault at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Ella placed second in the all-around, first on floor exercise and second on vault. She qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals where she placed fifth in the all-around with a 37.300, fifth on floor exercise and seventh on vault.
As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2025, Ella took silver medals on floor exercise and in the all-around at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around and third on uneven bars and floor exercise. This qualified Ella to her first Level 10 Nationals in Daytona Beach, FL. She had a great meet at the Nationals where she took home a gold medal on floor exercise with a 9.700.
When Ella is not busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys water skiing, boating, art, baking and hiking/going on walks. She is the only child to Luanne and Kevin Strong. She has an adopted dog named Pippi. Currently, Ella is an honor student at Chaska High School and she will graduate from high school in 2029. She is a member of the Spanish Club, softball team and Unified Advisory Group. When she has time outside of gymnastics and school, she volunteers at Feed My Starving Children and at a local elementary school,
