Kennedy taught herself how to press handstand and she was always flipping around around the house. Her parents decided to enroll her into gymnastics at a local gym at six years old in 2012. She trained at Win-Win Gymnastics in Odenton between 2015-2022. She was the 2015 Level 7 MD State Floor Exercise Bronze Medalist. As a level 8 gymnast in 2016, Kennedy won the floor exercise title at the State Championships and qualified to the Region 7 Championships. In 2017, Kennedy finished fifth in the all-around and fourth on vault and uneven bars at the Level 8 State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 7 Championships, finishing fourth in the all-around with a 37.925, first on floor exercise and third on vault.

Kennedy moved up to level 9 for the 2018 season. She placed sixth overall and second on floor exercise at the State Championships. She qualified to the Region 7 Championships, finishing fourth on vault and ninth overall. As a second-year level 9 gymnast in 2019, Kennedy grabbed gold medals on vault, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.175 at the State Championships. At the Region 7 Championships, Kennedy finished second in the all-around with a 37.900, first on balance beam and second on vault. This qualified Kennedy to the Level 9 Eastern Nationals where she won the all-around title with a 37.900! She also placed first on uneven bars, third on balance beam and fifth on vault.

As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2020, Kennedy qualified to the State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, Kennedy placed eighth in the all-around, fourth on vault and fifth on balance beam at the Region 7 Championships. She qualified to the Level 10 Nationals. In 2022, Kennedy placed third on vault and sixth in the all-around at the State Championships. She had a great meet at the Region 7 Championships where she finished fourth in the all-around and third on floor exercise. She qualified to the Level 10 National Championships in Mesa, AZ, finishing 18th overall with a 37.750 and tenth on balance beam. In June 2022, Kennedy moved to Docksiders Gymnastics in Millersville, MD.

When Kennedy isn't busy training over 20 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys reading, playing video games, talking and hanging out with her friends. She coaches recreational classes at her gym. Kennedy is the daughter to Melissa and Bobby and she has four siblings, Isiah, Bobby, Cam'ron and Car'ron. She is an honor student at Acellus Academy and she will graduate in 2024.
