Seria Naomi Johnson was born on October 7, 2003 in Atlanta, GA to Aires and Yesayahu Johnson. She is the youngest of seven children where she has four sisters, Shanell, Shakaira, Tyra and Asia and two brothers, Kivan and Isiah. During Seria's spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to music, and eating.

Seria loved to experiment with cartwheels and watched her older brother who used to flip into the pool and in the yard. Their neighbor saw Seria doing cartwheels in the front yard and recommended Gymnastics. She said Seria had a really good cartwheel for no experience and we should consider gymnastics. After her first class, her instructor told her parents that she had something special. Seria started out in a pre-school recreational class and one year later, she started competing level 4.

In 2011, Seria placed in the top two in every level 4 meet she competed in. In May 2012, Seria finished second in the all-around and first on vault and floor exercise at the Level 5 State Championships. She quickly moved up to level 6 in the fall of 2012 where she finished first on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around at the Level 6 State Championships with a 37.400. She had the highest all-around score of all competitors. Seria qualified to the TOPs "B" National Camp.

After Seria completed her successful compulsory career, she moved up to level 7 three months later. Seria had a great meet at the State Championships where she grabbed gold medals on uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 38.125. She made the Regional State Team and qualified to the Region 8 Championships. At the Regionals, Seria placed 17th in the all-around with a 37.950, second on balance beam and floor exercise and fourth on vault. In the fall, Seria qualified to the TOPs "A" National Camp.

In 2014 as a level 8 gymnast, Seria placed sixth in the all-around with a 37.500 and second on uneven bars at the State Championships. At the Region 8 Championships, Seria finished first in the all-around with a 37.425, first on balance beam and second on uneven bars. Seria competed in a few elite qualifiers where she successfully passed compulsories in hopes pre-elite. Seria moved up to level 9 for the 2015 season. At the State Championships, Seria finished first on vault, uneven bars, balance beam and in the all-around with a 37.325. In April, Seria competed at the Auburn Elite Qualifier in Washington where she passed compulsories in hopes pre-elite. She also competed in optionals with a first place finish on balance beam with a 13.100. A week later, she competed at the Region 8 Championships, finishing ninth on vault.

Seria was unable to compete in 2016 and 2017 due to an injury. She came back in 2018 as a level 9 gymnast where she earned gold medals on vault, floor exercise and in the all-around with a 37.575 at the State Championships. She was the first alternate for the Level 9 Western Nationals after finishing eighth in the all-around, second on floor exercise and third on uneven bars at the Region 8 Championships. As a first-year level 10 gymnast in 2019, Seria placed third in the all-around and second on floor exercise at the State Championships, qualifying to Regionals. In 2020, Seria qualified to the Level 10 State Championships but was unable to compete due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Seria trains 20+ hours per week at Gymnastix Training Center under coaches Rachel Page, David Pomerantz, and Michelle Pomerantz. She is working hard to reach her goals to earn a full-ride Scholarship to her favorite school.
