Josie's sister was taking gymnastics classes and Josie needed something to do, so she started taking Mom and Tot classes when she was three years old. She has been training at Gymfinity in Madison, WI her whole gymnastics career. Josie was the 2017 Level 3 WI State All-Around Bronze Medalist and 2018 Level 4 WI State Vault and Balance Beam Champion.

In 2021 as a level 7 gymnast, Josie won the all-around title with a 37.600 and first on vault and balance beam at the State Championships. She moved up to level 8 for the 2022 season, finishing fourth in the all-around, first on balance beam and second on floor exercise. She qualified to the Region 4 Championships where she placed fourth in the all-around and second on vault. Josie competed level 9 for the 2023 season. She placed seventh overall and third on floor exercise at the Region 4 Championships and qualified to the Level 9 Western Nationals.

Josie moved up to level 10 for the 2024 season. She placed seventh overall and sixth on vault and floor exercise at the State Championships. At the Region 4 Championships, Josie finished sixth in the all-around and third on vault. She qualified to the National Championships in Daytona Beach, FL. In 2025, Josie finished third on balance beam at the State Championships and fifth on vault and floor exercise at the Region 4 Championships.

When Josie isn't busy training 18 hours each week in the gym, she enjoys traveling, reading and playing board games. She has been to Costa Rica, Australia, Cayman Islands and Thailand. She is the daughter to Melissa and Dan and she has two older sisters, Ava and Bella. Currently, Josie is a student at Oregon High School and she will graduate in 2027.
